Everything in my life seems to happen in three or multiple of three.
In my co-ed fraternity, I was #9 in my pledge line. My big brother was #3. One of my little brothers was #15. My niece and daughter were both born on 09/15. All multiples of three. Perhaps, aside from 17, it seems that my lucky numbers are destined to be a multiple of 3.
For today’s topic, I am not quite certain if I met the “rule of thirds” criteria. I do use the shooting grid when I take pictures on my iPhone 5s. And I do consciously try to line up my shot sort of perfectly when the grid lines. But for the most part, I do not because I’m too busy worrying about if the picture itself is going to be too noisy. Sooooo I’m just going to let you guys tell me if these pictures fit within the “rule of thirds.” If not, please let me know what I can do to get better.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood Mawning Friday!

The second photo fulfills the rule of thirds perfectly in my opinion. The first photo is one of those where you have to break this rule a little. Perhaps a vertical orientation would help so you could have the path leading off to the upper right quadrant of the grid? That becomes the focal point. The trees do follow the grid lines, so I think you have done a good job here. Some photos work better with the focal point being in the middle. ( a close up of one flower for instance). This is just my opinion and what matters is how you feel about the photo. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

I see what you mean by taking a vertical picture for the walkway. I’ll have to take another picture if the weather is nice on Monday. Thank you so much for your response.
