Wednesday Writer-vation

29 Ways to Stay Creative

Sometimes life gets in the way of a writer’s “write” framed mind. Screaming kids. Crazy work deadlines. Blog deadlines you’ve set for yourself or set for you if you’re collaborating with other bloggers or media outlets. Long commutes to and from work. Finding time to spend with a significant other or the best friend who lives minutes away but you only see him or her twice a month. Blah blah blah isn’t life a nasty bitch sometimes?

So in an effort to keep us all motivated to writer or at least keep those creative wheels turning, I found the above graphic on Pinterest yes I have a minor uncontrollable addiction to Pinterest. Don’t judge me! I think as a writer I tend to make the writing process harder than it really needs to be. It used to be that I would write and write and write for hours without interruption without having to really think about the outside world. Of course, I was in college and partially didn’t have a care in the world. liberals arts student right here yo. None of that science/math stuff to bog my mind down

Anyway… Hopefully this graphic will spark a fire in your writer bones and get those juices flowing!

Thanks for reading…

  1. Great little piece of inspiration, thanks for sharing! I especially like #21 and the way it is presented in the image 😉 We need to remember that these are merely suggestions or springboards into the depths of our creativity. It’s all about remaining open to the possibilities presented by our muse and running with it when they present themselves to us. Sometimes, the two most important words I hear myself uttering, “why not?” Thanks again for sharing and best wishes for an inspired day 🙂

    1. You are most welcome!! It’s funny you mentioned uttering the words “why not?!” because that seems to be my mantra and approach to my writing lately. Who knew it would actually work and give me a sense of confidence I’ve never really had in my writing before. Thanks for dropping by my part of the world. =)
