There are a million and one reasons why this song along with other Israel Houghton songs makes me cry. I figured the words of Israel’s song speak to a side of me that is in need of comfort. I have already found it interesting how when I am feeling overwhelmed and overcome with emotion certain songs move me to tears. And I’m not talking a tear here and there. I bawl to no end. The flood gates open it is hard to close them. Thankfully, it doesn’t happen all the time. It seems that it usually happens when I’m at church. Say what you will about Joel Osteen and his family, but when I go to Lakewood Church, I feel somehow at peace. The praise and worship period of service allow me to let go of the emotional stress I harbor day in and day out. At any rate, at least I can release what I am feeling and feel somewhat better after.
